A family business, built to last.
Better Homes Inc. was founded in 1997 by Scott Herndon and his late father, Bob Herndon. Bob spent most of his life in exterior remodeling, and Scott grew up beside him learning the trade firsthand.
The company was built on decades of hands-on experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to treating homeowners with honesty and respect. Better Homes Inc. has maintained a complaint-free history with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board and other legal organizations.
Today, the team continues to build lasting relationships through knowledgeable guidance, honest recommendations, and workmanship customers can trust.
Owner & founder
Scott Herndon
Scott began working in construction in the early 1990s and has spent his life around exterior remodeling. His approach centers on education, communication, and helping homeowners make informed decisions that are right for their home and budget—without pressure or sales tactics.
Scott is certified with the FGIA, the Home Builders Association, and lead-based paint removal through the CCB. He is also a member of the James Hardie Contractor Alliance and is GAF Residential Roofing Contractor Certified.
The third generation
Trinity Herndon
Trinity joined Better Homes Inc. as the third generation of the Herndon family in the business. After graduating from Arizona State University in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, she began supporting marketing, social media, administration, and business development.
You may also see Trinity shadowing Scott on estimates and jobsite visits, taking project photos, and learning the day-to-day operation firsthand.

The Crew
Crew leaders Jose and Chris have worked alongside Scott for over a decade. Every crew member comes from a construction background and is skilled across siding, roofing, windows, painting, and other exterior work.
Scott has personally worked with and trained each team member. That shared experience creates a crew that communicates well, works efficiently, and shares the values Better Homes Inc. was founded on: honesty, hard work, trust, and treating customers like family.
